These general terms and conditions apply to all services of Secured Lifestyle Travel Management Amsterdam, established at President Kennedylaan 36-1, 1079 NE Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 73753041 (“Secured Lifestyle”).

- 1.2
Passenger: any person who is transported by or on behalf of Secured Lifestyle under the agreement.
- 1.3
Consumer: a client who is a natural person and does not act in the course of a profession or business.
- 1.4
Services: all services offered by Secured Lifestyle, including airport transfers, chauffeur services, hourly and full-day disposal, corporate travel, VIP and private travel, event and group transportation, security-driven transportation, tours and travel coordination.
- 1.5
Agreement: every arrangement between Secured Lifestyle and the client for the provision of services.
- 1.6
In writing: by letter, email or WhatsApp message.
Article 2. Applicability
- 2.1
These terms apply to every request, quotation and agreement and to all services of Secured Lifestyle.
- 2.2
Deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed in writing.
- 2.3
General terms and conditions of the client do not apply, unless Secured Lifestyle has accepted them in writing.
- 2.4
If a provision of these terms is void or annulled, the remaining provisions stay in force. The parties will replace the provision with a valid one that comes as close as possible to its intention.
- 2.5
Mandatory law, including the rules on passenger transport in Book 8 of the Dutch Civil Code and the rules that protect consumers, always takes precedence over these terms.
Article 3. Quotations and formation of the agreement
- 3.1
A request made through the website, by phone, email or WhatsApp is a request for a quotation and does not commit the client to anything.
- 3.2
Quotations from Secured Lifestyle are without obligation and valid for 14 days, unless the quotation states otherwise. Availability is only certain after confirmation.
- 3.3
The agreement is formed as soon as Secured Lifestyle has confirmed the booking in writing.
- 3.4
The client is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the details provided, such as addresses, date and time, flight number, number of passengers and luggage. Additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete details are borne by the client.
- 3.5
Obvious mistakes or clerical errors in quotations, confirmations or on the website do not bind Secured Lifestyle.
Article 4. Performance of the services
- 4.1
Secured Lifestyle performs the services with the care of a good service provider and with professional, well-presented chauffeurs.
- 4.2
Stated driving and arrival times are calculated as accurately as possible but remain an estimate. Traffic, weather and other circumstances on the road may affect them.
- 4.3
Secured Lifestyle provides a vehicle from the agreed class. If that vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Secured Lifestyle will provide an equivalent or higher-class vehicle at no extra cost to the client.
- 4.4
Secured Lifestyle may have (parts of) the booking carried out by carefully selected partners. Secured Lifestyle remains the point of contact and remains responsible for the performance.
- 4.5
The chauffeur determines the route in consultation with the passenger. Traffic rules and safety always come first; the chauffeur will not follow instructions that conflict with them.
Article 5. Prices
- 5.1
All prices are in euros. For consumers, prices include VAT; for business clients, prices exclude VAT, unless stated otherwise.
- 5.2
The price is based on the details in the confirmation. Additional kilometres, extra stops, extra hours and waiting time beyond what was agreed are charged at the agreed rate.
- 5.3
Parking, toll, ferry and airport charges, and the chauffeur’s accommodation on multi-day bookings, are only included if the quotation says so. Otherwise they are charged at cost.
- 5.4
If, after the agreement is concluded, costs outside the control of Secured Lifestyle increase, such as fuel prices or levies, Secured Lifestyle may adjust the price accordingly for services carried out more than three months after the agreement was concluded. In that case a consumer may terminate the agreement free of charge.
Article 6. Waiting time
- 6.1
For airport pick-ups, 60 minutes of waiting time is included, counted from the actual landing time. For all other pick-up addresses, 15 minutes of waiting time is included, counted from the agreed time.
- 6.2
After that, waiting time is charged per started quarter of an hour at the agreed hourly rate.
- 6.3
If the passenger has not appeared and cannot be reached 60 minutes after the included waiting time has ended, the journey counts as a no-show and the full price is due.
- 6.4
For bookings on an hourly basis, the agreed duration applies; additional time is charged per started quarter of an hour.
Article 7. Changes and cancellation
- 7.1
The client reports changes as early as possible. Secured Lifestyle will make every effort to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee this. Additional costs caused by a change are borne by the client.
- 7.2
Cancellation is only possible in writing. The moment at which Secured Lifestyle receives the cancellation is decisive.
- 7.3
When a transfer or single journey is cancelled, the client owes: (a) up to 24 hours before the agreed pick-up time: nothing; (b) between 24 and 4 hours before the pick-up time: 50% of the price; (c) within 4 hours before the pick-up time or in the event of a no-show: 100% of the price.
- 7.4
When a full-day or multi-day booking, an event, a tour or a booking with multiple vehicles is cancelled, the client owes: (a) up to 7 days before the start: nothing; (b) between 7 days and 48 hours before the start: 50% of the price; (c) within 48 hours before the start: 100% of the price.
- 7.5
Costs that Secured Lifestyle has already incurred with third parties for the booking and cannot recover always remain due.
- 7.6
If the quotation or confirmation contains different cancellation terms, those take precedence.
- 7.7
The statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to contracts for passenger transport.
Article 8. Payment
- 8.1
Payment is made in the manner and within the period stated in the quotation, confirmation or invoice. If no period is stated, a payment term of 14 days from the invoice date applies.
- 8.2
Secured Lifestyle may ask for a deposit or full payment in advance and may suspend performance until it has been received.
- 8.3
If a business client does not pay on time, the client is in default without notice and owes the statutory commercial interest and the extrajudicial collection costs.
- 8.4
If a consumer does not pay on time, Secured Lifestyle first sends a free reminder with a period of 14 days. After that, the consumer owes statutory interest and the collection costs permitted by law.
- 8.5
Objections to an invoice are reported in writing as soon as possible, preferably within 14 days of the invoice date.
Article 9. Obligations of the client and passengers
- 9.1
The passenger is present at the agreed place at the agreed time and follows reasonable instructions from the chauffeur, including wearing a seat belt.
- 9.2
Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted in the vehicles. The use of drugs is prohibited; alcohol only with the chauffeur’s permission.
- 9.3
Hazardous substances, weapons and other prohibited items may not be brought along. Pets may only travel after prior consultation; assistance dogs are always welcome.
- 9.4
If children who need a child seat are travelling, the client reports this when making the request.
- 9.5
For cross-border journeys, every passenger is responsible for valid travel documents and any visas. Costs and delays caused by missing documents are borne by the client.
- 9.6
The chauffeur may refuse or end the transport if a passenger endangers safety, behaves aggressively or disruptively, or does not comply with these terms. In that case the price remains due.
- 9.7
Damage to or soiling of the vehicle caused by a passenger is compensated by the client, including cleaning costs and the time during which the vehicle cannot be used as a result.
- 9.8
The client ensures that the passengers are aware of these terms and comply with them.
Article 10. Luggage and lost property
- 10.1
When making the request, the client states the amount and any special features of the luggage. The chauffeur may refuse luggage that cannot be transported safely, or that was not reported in advance and does not fit in the vehicle.
- 10.2
Passengers remain responsible for their own luggage and personal belongings and check that they have taken everything with them when leaving the vehicle.
- 10.3
Lost property is kept for three months. It is returned on request and at the owner’s expense.
Article 11. Security-driven transportation
- 11.1
Security-driven transportation is aimed at safe and discreet transport by chauffeurs trained for that purpose. It is a best-efforts obligation: Secured Lifestyle cannot guarantee that incidents will be prevented.
- 11.2
The client provides in advance all information relevant to safe performance, including known risks and the presence of the client’s own security.
- 11.3
The chauffeur may change the route, time and place of pick-up or drop-off if safety requires it.
- 11.4
Close protection is only part of the services if this has been expressly agreed in writing.
Article 12. Force majeure
- 12.1
Secured Lifestyle is not obliged to fulfil an obligation if it is prevented from doing so by a circumstance that is not attributable to it. This includes extreme weather, traffic jams, accidents and road closures, strikes, government measures, disruptions at airports, unexpected vehicle breakdown despite proper maintenance, and illness of the chauffeur.
- 12.2
In the event of force majeure, Secured Lifestyle makes every effort to offer a suitable alternative.
- 12.3
If the service cannot be carried out because of force majeure, either party may terminate the agreement for that part. Any amount already paid for the part not carried out is refunded; there is no right to further compensation.
Article 13. Liability
- 13.1
Damage caused by the death or injury of a passenger and damage to luggage are governed by the statutory rules on passenger transport in Book 8 of the Dutch Civil Code, including the liability limits set out there.
- 13.2
For other damage, Secured Lifestyle is only liable if it is the direct result of a shortcoming attributable to Secured Lifestyle. Liability is then limited to the amount paid out by the liability insurance in that case and, if no payment is made, to the price of the booking concerned.
- 13.3
Secured Lifestyle is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as a missed flight or connection, lost profit or missed appointments, unless the damage was caused by intent or wilful recklessness on the part of Secured Lifestyle.
- 13.4
Secured Lifestyle is not liable for delay caused by circumstances as referred to in article 12, or for damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information from the client.
- 13.5
The limitations in this article do not apply to the extent that mandatory law prevents them, nor in the event of intent or wilful recklessness on the part of Secured Lifestyle.
- 13.6
The client indemnifies Secured Lifestyle against claims from third parties resulting from acts or omissions of the client or of passengers.
- 13.7
Damage is reported in writing as soon as possible after it is discovered, so that Secured Lifestyle can investigate it.
Article 14. Complaints
- 14.1
Complaints about the performance of a service are reported as soon as possible, preferably within 14 days of the journey, to info@securedlifestyle.nl.
- 14.2
Secured Lifestyle responds within 14 days and works with the client to find a suitable solution.
Article 15. Confidentiality and privacy
- 15.1
Secured Lifestyle and its chauffeurs treat all information about clients, passengers, their journeys and their conversations as strictly confidential, also after the booking has ended.
- 15.2
Secured Lifestyle processes personal data in accordance with its privacy statement.
- 15.3
If the client passes on details of passengers, the client guarantees that it is entitled to do so.
Article 16. Applicable law and disputes
- 16.1
All agreements with Secured Lifestyle are governed by Dutch law.
- 16.2
The parties will first try to resolve a dispute by mutual consultation.
- 16.3
Disputes are submitted to the competent court of the District Court of Amsterdam. A consumer may, within one month after Secured Lifestyle has invoked this provision, choose the court that has jurisdiction by law.
Article 17. Final provisions
- 17.1
Secured Lifestyle may amend these terms. An agreement is governed by the version that applied when the agreement was formed.
- 17.2
These terms are available in Dutch and English. In the event of differences in interpretation, the Dutch text prevails.
